Tension:
25 sts and 33 rows to 10 cm meas. over zigzag lace patt using size 3,5 mm needles or size needed to achieve given tension.

Back:
Using col. black cast on 131 [147] sts and beg with a WS row work in zigzag lace patt and col. sequence as given. When work meas. 58,5 [61] cm (193 [201] rows) ending with 12 rows in orchid for size 36/38 and ending with 8 rows in medium blue for size 40/42.
Next row: cast off all sts even using the col of the previous row.
For the shoulder yoke: using col. black with right sides facing pick up along the cast off edge one st each out of the first 4 sts, * skip next 11 sts and cast on 12 sts, pick up 1 st each out of the next 7 cast off sts (top point of zigzag), rep from * 6 [7] times more and end row with skipping the next 11 sts and casting on 12 sts to replace them and work 5 sts into last 4 sts of cast of row. = 154 [173] sts.
Work 13 rows in ribbing alt yarn col every 2nd row from black to white and beg and ending with a WS row.
Next row: cast off all sts even as they appear.
Front:
Work as given for Back.
Sleeves: (work 2 alike)
Using col. black cast on 83 [99] sts and beg with a WS row work in zigzag lace patt and col. sequence as given. When work meas. 45 [47] cm (149 [155] rows) ending with 4 rows in water blue for size 36/38 and ending with 6 rows in light green for size 40/42.
Next row: cast off all sts even as they appear using col of the previous row.
Making up:
Pin out to measurements given, cover with a clean, damp cloth and leave to dry naturally out of sunlight. Do not steam press. Close shoulder seam over 11 [13] cm as shown in diagram. 30 [32] cm are left open for the neckline opening. Sew in sleeves keeping the cast off edge to meas (as shown in diagram). Then close the side and sleeve seams. Weave in ends.
