Hat:
The hat is knit in open rsr and wsr.
Cast on 77 st and 2 est with col. 1 and needle 5.0 – 6.0 and knit 7 r in garter stitch, start with a rsr. Continue working with needle 6.0 – 7.0. Initially k another 2 r in garter stitch with col. 1, in the process incr. in the 1st r 11 st evenly distributed (= 90 st). Then k in the honeycomb pattern (2 colours). At a total height of 15 cm (= 45 r = 7 r+ 2 r in garter stitch and 36 r in honeycomb pattern), decr. between the est as follows: (The decreases take place between the slipped st, the number of stitches between the slipped st reduces. However, continue to knit pattern analogously.)
46th r (= rsr):
k tog. 2 st ri, then k tog. the following 6th and 7th st ri and then k tog. 9 x every 7th and 8th st ri (= 79 st)
50th r:
sl. 1 st, k tog. the following 2nd and 3rd st ri; * 2 st ri, sl. 2 st, 1 st ri, k tog. 2 st ri, from * rep., end with 2 st ri, sl. 1 st (= 68 st)
54th r:
k tog. the 3rd and 4th st ri and then k tog. 10 x every 5th and 6th st ri (= 57 st)
58th r: from now on end the hat in Stockinette stitch only in col. 2
k tog. the 1st and 2nd st ri, then the 3rd and 4th st and then k tog. 9 x every 4th and 5th st ri (= 46 st)
60th r: k tog. 11 x every 3rd and 4th st ri (= 35 st)
62nd r: k tog. 11 x every 2nd and 3rd st ri (= 24 st)
Pull the current working thread 2 x through these 24 st and sew the st together. Close the rear seam as flat as possible.
Sew the fur pompom to the hat.
Loop:
Cast on 72 st and 2 est in col. 1 and k one r (= wsr) ri st in col. 1. Continue working in the honeycomb pattern. At a height of approx. 66 cm (= 192 r) from the beginning of honeycomb end with a 16th pattern row (= wsr) work another 14 r in garter stitch with col. 1, in the process k tog. every 2nd and 3rd st ri between the est in the 1st r (= 50 st). Then leave the st (let them rest on the needle).
With a 2nd circular knitting needle, take the st of the cast-on edge of the front side (without thread), in the process skip every 3rd st (= 50 st). Now fold the loop right to right, both of the circular knitting needles lying next to one another, and c off the st together. In the process, knit one st of both needles together and c off as usual. Flip the loop over, the side edges can be gently rolled towards the inside, the garter-stitch r are at the front when wearing.
