Instructions:
Sweater: (differing information for the sizes 40/42 are in brackets)
Back:
Cat on 89 (96) S plus 2 ES in Cl. 12, start with 1 RSR ri S, then kn. 33 2 R garter right in Cl. 33 Now continue in slip stitch pattern as follows: Start ES with 4 (0) S preceding the pattern, 5 (6) x the pattern (= 16 M), end with 5 (0) M following the pattern, ES.
With 15.5 cm total height (= 53 R = 3 start rows plus 50 R slip stitch patterns = 1 x the 1st - 32nd R and then 1 x the 1st - 18th R of the knitting pattern), end the slip stitch pattern after the 18th pattern row and continue kn. straight up in Cl. 33 in relief pattern: Start ES with 4 (0) S preceding the repeating pattern, 5 (6) x the repeating pattern (= 16 M), end with 5 (0) M following the repeating pattern, ES, here kn. 1 x the 1st - 16th R, then always rpt the 3rd - 16th R.
In 35 (36) cm (= 84 (86)) relief pattern height only rpt again the 3rd + 4th R of the relief pattern while simultaneously co 5 S for the shoulder slant and in each 2nd R again 2 (1) x 5 S and 3 (5) x 4 M.
In 38 (40) cm (= 92 (96) relief pattern height in the following RSR for the rear neckline section, co the middle 29 (30) S and end both sides separately. For the inner curvature, cast off another 1 x 4 S in the 2nd R. End the second side mirror-inverted.
Front
As with the back part. For the deeper neckline in 35 (36) cm (= 84 (86) R) relief pattern height, at the start of the shoulder slant, cast off the middle 23 (24) S in the following RSR. End both sides separately and only rpt. the 3rd + 4th R of the relief pattern. For the inner curvature of the front neckline, co. another 1 x 3 S, 1 x 2 S and 2 (3) x 1 S in each 2nd R. The second side mirror-inverted.
Sleeve:
Cast on 29 (31) S plus 2 ES and start with 1 BR ri S. Now continue kn. plain left as follows (RSR): ES 7 (8) S le, 1 x repeating pattern relief pattern (= 16 M, always rpt. 3rd - 16th R), 8 (9) S le, ES
For the shoulder slants in 4 cm (= 9 R) high, pick up 1 S on both sides in the following RSR. (= at row start after the ES and at row end before the ES, knt. 1 S le interlaced from the cross stitch) and knt. the picked up S plain left. rpt. these pickups another 7 x in each 16th (14th) R (= 45 (49) S). In a total height of 46 (47) cm (= 111 (113) R), co. all S and knit according to the pattern.
Create the 2nd sleeve in exactly the same way.
Finishing:
Attach a flat shoulder seam. For the collar, pick up the approx. 80 (82) S out of the neckline and knt. in the RSR and BR plain right, 1 S plain right according to the relief pattern, start with a BR. At 4 cm (= 9 R), loosely co. all S, knt. ri S. Attach a second flat shoulder seam to the narrow side of the collar. Attach the sleeves. Also attach the flat side and sleeve seams.
Hat:
The hat is knitted open in RSR and BR.
80 S plus 2 ES in Cl. 12, start with 1 RSR ri S, then kn. 33 2 R garter right in Cl. 33 Continue knt. in slip stitch pattern as follows: ES, 5 x the repeating pattern (= 16 S), ES
With 18 total height (= 67 R (= 3 start rows plus 64 R slip stitch patterns)) end the slip stich pattern and kn. another 2 R garter right in Cl. 33. Then, in Cl. 12, end the hat garter right and knt. 2 R then drop as follows between the ES:
72nd R: knit every 4th + 5th S ri together). (= 66 S)
74th R: knit every 3rd + 4th S ri together. (= 50 S)
76th R: knit every 2nd + 3rd S ri together. (= 34 S)
78th.R: always knit M ri together. (= 18 S)
80th R: always knt. together 2 S ri, including the ES (= 9 S)
Pull the remaining 9 S together with the thread.
Finishing:
Close the back hat seam flat.
With the remaining yarn, make a bobble with a 9 cm diameter and sew onto the hat.
