Instructions:
Size: various sizes in table, here, example: size 38/39
Cast on 38 st (see table) and knit stocking stitch for 37 rows (see table). Then distribute stitches to set of needles: 1. and 4. needle: 9 st, 2. and 3. needle: 10 st. Continue in round, hereby adding 2 st. in 1.row in front centre (= 40 st.). After 30 rd. (see table), work the tip. For this purpose, knit together the last two st. of each needle in plain in each round, repeat until only 2 st. remain on each needle. Pull these together with the working yarn.
Finish:
Close rear seam as flat as possible (use felt wool) and felt the slippers.
Make a pompom of approx. 5 cm and sew onto the shoes after felting.
Felting:
Felt slippers (on their own) in washing machine at 40 °C. For this purpose, select coloured wash program (approx. 2 hours), revolutions during spinning 800 - 1000, no economy or short washing program. Add some washing detergent without optical brighteners incorporated softener. Please do not use fabric softener. In order to support the felting process, add 3 tennis balls to the washing machine. After washing, shape (ideally, slip into the still damp shoe) the pieces immediately (slip into the still moist slippers and wear them until they are dry).
