Finishing:
Using Filzwolle to sew, close back seam (= cast on row) as flat as possible. Sew bow onto slipper in the centre front (see picture).
Felting:
Wash the pair of slippers alone in the washing machine at 40°C (warm). Choose a program for cotton or coloured clothing with 800-1000 rpm spin cycle. Do not use a short or water saving program. Add a small amount of detergent
without optical brighteners or softeners. Do not add softener to the wash load. To help the felting process add 2 or 3 old tennis balls to the load. After the felting program remove immediately from the machine and shape into form (it helps to put the wet shoes on your feet). Allow to dry out of direct sunlight.

Swatch:
To achieve the measurements in the patterns, it is very important to check your tension before starting your work. Make a swatch of at least 12 cm x 12 cm and double check the stitches and rows to make sure you have the same tension as stated in the pattern and if necessary change the needle size accordingly. This is the only way your work will be the size shown and the measurements, rows, stitches and yarn requirements will be correct.
