Needles:
1 crochet hook in size 4,0 - 5,0mm or size needed to achieve given tension.
Pattern:
Dc in spiral rnds: the dc are worked in spiral rnds cont. Mark the first st of each rnd with a contrasting piece of yarn or a marker. This makes it easier to count rnds.
Dc in rows: each row of dc begins with 1 tch as replacement for the first dc and ends with 1 dc in the replacement dc at the beginning of the prev row.
Tension:
15 sts and 13 rows to 10 cm meas over double crochet using size 5mm needles or size needed to achieve given tension.
A tension swatch should be made before beginning work. Double check this with the tension given and change needle size if needed. Only then will the measurements (cm), rows, sts and usage be correct.
Instructions:
Caution: To be used only as decoration - this is not a toy!
Tip: All of the pieces for the teddy bear should be crocheted tightly, this means to double check your tension to assure the filling stays inside the finished pieces. The individual pieces should be sewn together tightly and all loose threads carefully secured.

Sew on eyes, and at the same time pull the eyes tightly into the head with the thread and anchor with a knot. This will animate the bear’s face and give it more expression. Sew the head to the body. Sew the tail to the back of the body. Sew the heart button to the chest of the bear and attach the crocheted heart if desired.
Tip: You can also make your teddy a cuddle blanket out of leftover yarn.
