Cap:
The cap is knitted in rounds.
Cast on 80 st, distribute onto 4 needles of the set (= 20 st per needle), close to round and knit 25 cm (= 45 rd.). Now mark 5., 15., 25., 35., 45., 55., 65. and 75. stitches and knit decreases in the following row over the 8 marked st (see pattern). Repeat these decreases 3 x in each 2. rd (= 16 st), in rd between, knit as st appear. After the last decrease, knit 1 more rd as st appear and in subsequent rounds always knit together 2 st in plain. (= 8 st). Pull the remaining 8 st together with the yarn.
Scarf:
Cast on 31 st plus 2 edge stitches and knit in relief pattern, starting with 1 return row. In approx. 200 cm height, end with a return row, then cast off st, knitting st as they appear.
